If you are somewhat like me, careless errors in the Verbal section spoil the GMAT prep experience. To rid myself of Sentence Correction doldrums, I collected a few
helpful and free grammar resources. Pick the one that suits your needs:
The Elements of Style by William Strunk. Concentrates attention on the rules of usage and principles of composition most commonly violated
Guide to Grammar and Style by Jack Lynch. Points of grammar explained with practical definitions, followed by some useful rules, and examples of good and bad writing
Common Errors in English Usage by Paul Brians. Aimed at the most common errors of native speakers
Paradigm Online Writing Assistant by Chuck Guilford. An interactive, menu-driven, online writer’s guide and handbook and my personal favorite!
Enjoy!
